The straw soloution worked like a charm. Our son took BOTH his capsules this morning. We are so relieved. Thanks for the great tip.
THANKS LIBBY AND JMOM I AM GOING TO TRY THAT WITH MY FIVE YEAR OLD.

We break open the Strattera capsule. The web site says not to, but we were informed that it is OK. No side effects. Strattera seems to have made a significant difference in focus and attention. 20mg dose daily.
The problem is our son (7) cannot swallow the capsules. He has been taking it in yogurt, but even then says it tastes like soap, and gives us a hard time. We need to find something else.
We'll try a bagel with Nutella (a hazelnut spread). We'll try putting the medecine on the bread, and spread Nutella over it to cover the taste.
Has anyone else made any good suggestions besodes applesauce? (didn't work)
WE USE PUDDING OR ICE CREAM. I KNOW ICE CREAM IN THE MORNING BUT IT WORKS.
RIGHT NOW WE ARE HAVING A HARD TIME GETING HER TO TAKE HER MED. I DIDN'T THINK ABOUT YOGURT. WE HAVE TO BEG JEN TO TAKE HER IT IS LIKE PULLING TEETH. GOOD LUCK
Sorry, Libby, I've tried the straw trick, and it didn't work for us. I think the water bottle idea sounds like a good one. But what's the definitive answer on opening that strattera capsule? Good or bad?
