Does anybody else rip napkins to shreds.. | ADHD Information

when they go out to eat?????

I roll up every little piece of paper I come across—drinking straw wrappers & post it notes especially.  I sometimes wonder if everybody thinks I’ve got a habit of snorting drugs ‘cause I’ve got scads of little rolled up pieces of paper at my desk, in my car, everywhere I go.  A month ago, I stopped by a friend’s house.  He wasn’t home, but I sat and visited with his roommate.  Then the roommate and I left at the same time.  A few hours later my pal called and asked why I was at his house that day.  He found a couple of rolled up pieces of paper and knew I was there!

Next time I stop smoking, I’m going to invest in some 1.5” x 2.5” post-it notes.  I think I smoke camel lights just so I can roll up the stupid ‘camel bucks’ that come in every pack.
Yeah—I’m a HUGE paper products fidget-er!

I tear up beer bottle labels, napkins, or whatever else keeps my hands occupied when out. It's funny you mention that! I also really hate how you can't smoke in bars or resutrants where I live now, because that used to be my saviour. Now it seriously kills me going out with friends to a resturant or bar.OMG! I do it all the time but I think it has more to do with smoking.

I can't look at a bottle without peeling the label off! I try very hard to do it without tearing it. I don't tear napkins though - no way to keep it orderly and precise.

I can't be around gum erasers.

I have a gum eraser complex.

It's really stupid, but if you crush them up and grind up peaces of them, the turn into very soft pulp, and I like the way the pulp feels on my fingers.

I had to be kept away from gum erasers in art class as a child, because I did not do anything all class period but play with the soft gum-eraser pulp.

I have still been known to indulge my "gum-eraser-pulp-fetish" on a rare occassion while I am at home sitting at my computer and reading posts....it's not something I discuss. I think it's embarrassing.  My husband thinks it's funny.
