ok todays my first day taking adderall XR, ive taken regular adderall 10 mg a couple times randomly now im taking xr 10 mg....i dont like it. it doenst really give me the stiumlating effect right when i take it like the other adderall. i didnt disrupt class at all today, but i couldnt if i wanted to. it was hard to focus on things other than schoolwork. I didnt want tto talk to anyone really, or i tried to but i was more quiet. it was weird. I didnt really give a sh*t, i couldnt think of anything witty......
i figure thats its because this is my first day with the medicine. i want to be more lively with this medication and in control, i feel out of control and empty with this med. Is this because of XR? Maybe i should go to 5mg of reg. adderall? I want to talk more and be funny and sh*t i dont want to be a quiet kid because i have a small case of ADD.
It seems to me that the XR is too intense. Everyone that I have talked to that has taken it has said that it makes them crazy. Although I think that since you aren't taking a high dose of it that is why it isn't making you crazy, but it is making you without personality. I find that with the regular Adderall that if I take a quarter of a ten about every few hours that I am still my normal self that has personality, but I can also focus on things that I couldn't focus on in the past. When I take too much at one time it makes me sick to my stomach and it also makes me feel personality less as well. Initially when starting on this drug I experienced somewhat of a high that I enjoyed although if I try to achieve that by taking more it doesn't work that way. So if I take what my body can handle it really helps me get what I need done, done and I am so much more focussed on what I am doing each day.I started on 20 MG of XR, and didn't eat or sleep for three days. I called my doctor and he bumped me down to 10 MG, and I feel a little better. I eat once a day usually now. I don't feel like the medicine is doing really anything positive though.I tried XR at two different mg. Apparently different doses counted as distinct trials, so I was able to get it free last summer. Only afterwards did I find out that it would be ~00 per year!
I'm use generic Adderall (Barr Labs). In the example above, somebody was talking about a 10mg dose. You can ask the doctor to write the scrip for 1/2 as many 20s and cut them (easily) on the score. Fyi, Sam's Club pharmacy has Adderall (Barr generic) for
No XR for me, can't afford it. I didn't like it as much as conventional (generic) Adderall, where I can control the stimulant effect more directly. I felt more distant from the effect of the XR.
