I'm new to this ADHD drug thing. I'm also bipolar so I've
got a pretty strong drug cocktail all ready underway. Started out adding
Adderall to my mix. Seemed to focus me but I began to get very cranky towards
the end of the day. This is not a good mood for me since that's what got me
into massive trouble before I began medicating my bipolar symptoms.
But being a pretty good amatuer pharmacologist by now I started taking more Neurontin,
which has a calming effect on me. So now I'm calm but I've also become
unfocused.
Time to try some Stratera which is allegedly non-stimulating. Not so
much focusing as with the Adderall but I
feel myself starting to get cranky on this drug also plus some of the
other rather unpleasant other side effects well documented here. Back
to the Neurontin,
calm but now unfocused to the point I'm back to where I started.
I guess my question is does the "cranky" side effect of either
Adderall or Stratera pass with time or is it permanent. And if I have
to take downers to counteract the side effects of the uppers, what's
the point?
