What is your ADD med "cocktail"? | ADHD Information

Share
Hey everyone,
Just wondering...those of you on "cocktails" (2 or more meds you take together to help your ADD) what are the meds and how do they help you? Also, how long did it take you to find out that special cocktail mix that made you the happiest?

Thanks!

Thanks for posting this...I am interested in hearing the responses.

Between prescriptions,I have been experimenting with different nootropics to varying degrees of effectiveness. Many of these "smart drugs" are precursors to different neurotransmitters thought to play a role in the cognitive deficits we ADD'rs have inherited. They include such substances as DMAE, CENTROPHENOXINE, PYRITINOL etc. If you google any of these, you will soon find various websites by a British biologist James South whom has experimented with these substances.

Can you give me the name of your book?

Thanks.
Nootropics -- what are they?
Quick definition - Noos = Mind Tropos - To bend: So "mind bending" or shaping drug.  Supposed to be a group setting out to modify oxygen, glucose, etc. in the mind to make it superior to without it.  Jury's out on those.  I'll stick to dexedrine.

  My polypsychopharm combination  is:

    30mg Adderall every 6hrs  3x day

4mg of Suboxone (works also on me for Refractory Type Depression)

.5mg clonopin every 8hrs.  No more than 1.5mg day. Last .5mg Bed

I have a slew of a great supplement regiment which i feel potentiates alot of the neurochemicals and replenishes lost Neurotransmitters from constant Adderall  SUB  KP use. But your dont feel it, but its well in my book, positive, from Precursors to Neuroprotective Sups.

Nootropics -- what are they?I am using 60mg of Cymbalta and 100 mg of Provigil for their energizing properties. I have been diagnosed ADD Type II. I perpetually battle lethargy, brainfog and a lack of motivation. I exercise 6 days a week (wight lifting/cardio) fueled by Red Bull to "cut through" the fog and get work done throughout the day. I have found that protein shakes w/o artificial sweeteners are helpful when I need to concentrate. I suspect that my brainfog comes from some sort of artificial food additive so I try to steer clear of them. I still have a ways to go until I reach a desirable level of performance, but think I am on the right track. Have been experimenting with nootropics as well lately. I tried dexedrine and strattera - but found that the strattera tended to undo the positives of the dexedrine.  2 weeks was enough.  I'm sticking to the dexedrine as it's proven itself over 8 straight months of good thinking and happy days.

What cocktail are you on, Shock?

I am now trying Strattera 80mg and Concerta--18mg.  Will let you know how it goes...

Tenex and Lexapro.....seems to be doing okI'm on 10 mg Adderall RX, 50 mg Trazodone (for sleeping) and total of 1500 mg Depakote (1x500mg in am and 2x500mg in pm). somewhat  improves but probably not enough. The psychiatrist initially suspected Im bipolar and he is beginning to think it's ADHD. Looks like he's transferring me from here to there gradually..

What is Tenex?  I know Lexapro is an antidepressant...how does that help ADD?

Thanks,

my son is taking adderall 15 mg and 7.5 mg of abilify and it has been working very well. He is 10
