Ritilin - Sleep problems and Nausea | ADHD Information

My 11 year old son started on Ritilin 9 days ago (5mg) but we never saw any better signs apart from the sore belly.

My son doctor as just ask for his to start 10mg as of tomorrow, which i do worry about but if it is going to make his life better and more undercontroled i would try anything.

His grade are so bad at school because his brain just works faster than he can control, which makes him lost track of what he is to do in class.

He teacher is becoming alot more understanding but it has taken the school to help with me and the doctor and my son.

He has only 4 weeks until summer break which he and myself is so looking forward too.

Plus is his getting a new teacher next year so here is hoping she is nice and will be working along side us too.

i hope you belly feels better soon.

I never actually vomited, but didn’t feel so great in the belly the first week or so on stim. meds.  Coffee added to the bellyaches.  Thankfully—that went away after about the first week.  Maybe it will go away for you!!  Oh also if I forced myself to eat (in the beginning I was never hungry) the bellyache was better.

I think a lot of people have trouble with sleeping while taking a stimulant!

We have tried melatonin with my 8yr old one hour before bedtime, and it has
helped him tremendously in being able to fall asleep. (He takes just 1mg,
but I believe the adult dose is more like 3mg.) At any rate, it is easily
available, cheap and easy to try. (No bad side effects either.)

Good luck to you!I am new to Ritilan and have noticed I've had some problems sleeping, I've also been waking up really early, which is probably a good thing, since it used to take my 45 minutes to get up...but I've also been having problems with vomiting, especially when I have coffee. Does anyone have any advice
