Adderal XR | ADHD Information

Hello All-

I have read most of this forum and found the sentiments to be very
similar and comforting. :)

I dealt with school problems back in my younger days(I am now 33) but
since I stopped pursuing a medical solution in grade school I have not
revisited the subject. I was able to pull off high school and college and a
masters degree all thru brute force (stay up late the night before exams/
papers). I even run my own small company now. But then my wife asked
me if I was ADD. I had never really thought about it. Then I went online,
read a few articles, took a few tests and I was pretty assured that I fall
into most of the symptomatic descriptions of ADD (lack of organization,
multiple trains of thought, self doubt etc.) I don't really have the hyper-
active traits nor do I suffer from depression. So I ended up speaking to a
friend who turns out to be ADD as well and he gave me an Adderal XR
(20mg) to try out...
OH MY GOD!
it was like night and day. I completed SO MUCH
work that one day and my wife commented that i actually listened to her
for extended times. It was great! Now two days after this relavatory day I
feel a bit "drained" , depressed etc. But I would gladly go thru this "after"
phase in exchange for the boost the actual drug embues. Yes I had a bit
of trouble getting to sleep that night, (I took the pill at 11 in the
morning) but once again well worth it.

My primary concerns about this drug are
A) the addictive nature, how bad is this? I have never been addicted to any
drugs or alcohol and I dont have a proclivity for "speedy" drugs cocaine,
meth etc.
B) I noticed a great deal of people talking about teeth grinding, is this a
common side effect?
C) how long can you be on it? is this something you generally go on for a
month and then off for a month or is it a longer term treatment?
D) is an increase in dosage neccesary and inevitable? It seems most
people on here are taking Adderal in the triple digits doses, is that
because of developing a resistance to the effect?

also if anyone has any postive experiences with Adderal XR please share!

Well I am off to the Dr. on Monday and going to tell him about my little
"experiment" and my results! Wish me luck
