Well it turns out I have ADD, big suprise huh?

I also seem to have a dependent nature that I was unable to realize until my girlfriend said something to me over the past week. The doctor too noticed this as well and asked me about my mom and "nagging". Now, I'm 21 and should be allowed to do things for myself without having to be reminded over and over(since I have ADD I need that but!) and with my mom's constant reminding and nagging over the past....21 years, I've turned into a dependent person. Because of that I've had trouble getting my motor running by myself. She, doctor, attributes that too my failing school work.

Oh, apparantly my IQ is between 130 and 140. If it wasn't for my below average verbal score, one of which is used to gauge attention, my IQ would be higher. Get this, ADD lowers your IQ as well. Due to my low performance levels in highschool due to not being able to pay attention my other verbal skills were lowered. So if I didn't have ADD I'd be a genious, phoo!

Well, I'm happy as all hell. I get to see my girlfriend tomorrow after 2 weeks of absence. And I have been diagnosed and I now have an idea of where my IQ lays, thats pretty spiffy.

Ken-having a good day..but still can't wait for tomorrow to come so will try to stop his mind from going on and on and on and on and...
OniHebi,
I'm glad you have the dx now. You might be surprised at how independant you become once you get treatment and go through therapy.
I don't take meds but everyone who does say that your ability to focus is totally awsome.
Now you can take that high IQ back to school and create a wonderful future for yourself!
