question about when i take my pills | ADHD Information

im hoping someone here can help me, i stumbled across this place on google seems very informative. My DR. recently upped my perscription to 30mg capsules, and I am supposed to take 2 a day. My first day I took one when I woke up and then another about 5 hours later, soon after I felt like i had overdosed. so yesterday (second day) i only took one capsule around noon and of course did feel anything, I didnt take a second because I was afraid of the OD feelings again. Does anyone here have any recommendations or similar situations? Should I take one pill then several hours later take the second? I have to sleep. I work 3am to 11am and then go the school and usually like to sleep around 9pm-2:30am. Its just hard because I dont know when to take 'em. My DR. is vacationing in Mexico she told me I could call with any issues but  I dont want to bother her for this little question.  Can anyone help?the OD feelings were i was kind of shaky, it felt like i was getting an alcohol buzz if that makes any sense. i sleep at night from 9pm-2:30am, so I try to be getting down from the meds a few hours before that.

I think this would be a pretty good reason to call your doctor. If you are getting these feelings, I really don't think it would bother her. She did say to call after all.

Also, you said that you are on a different scheadule. You should take it according to that--not a normal one. If you take your meds when you want to sleep--Good Luck--you will be wide awake. The first should be taken around the time you wake up for the day, and the second accordingly. That way they have worn off by the 9 pm. But certainly ask your doctor's input on all of this.

What exactly do you mean by an overdosed feeling? Also, and I'm not a doctor, but I do think you should talk to your doctor about when you should take them, if you sleep in the morning, then you shouldn't take the pill in the morning because doing so will destroy any chances of sleep you might have. I take Adderall XR twice daily, one in the morning and one around noon and by 11:00 pm I'm still fired up from the meds. Definitely call the doctor to be sure.
