Where do I go, who do I see?? | ADHD Information

I have been doing a lot of reading lately about adult ADHD and I beleive from everything that I read and all the online tests and quizes that I have taken, that I suffer from Adult ADHD..

I have always thought that I did and even tried to convince my mom back when I was younger, but she is a school teacher and thinks that ADHD is a bunch of crap..

 

Anyway.. my question, is where do I go for professional diagnosis and treatment if I do have it..I don't know where to look.. I am in South Carolina..

Personally I called a psych in the yellow pages, I have no GP or anything so didn't know what else to look for.

If you have a regular doctor it might be worthwhile to talk to them first and get a referral or something.
You can be tested and diagnosed by a psycologest <SP?> it's a lot less expensive then an MD and the results are just as valid. For medication on the other hand, you need an MD treating you,
