Adderal or Concerta | ADHD Information

  I have a 8 year old daughter with adhd. she was put on straterra for 18 days. it worked great, but she had an allergic reaction so we had to to take her off of it. my Dr. wants to put her on a stimulant. that concerns me but i feel the good would out way the bad. i don't know what works and what doesn't. i'm nervous about all the side effects, seems like no matter what med she goes on there will be some. what is better adderall or concerta? is there something better? this is a hard decision and i need all the info i can get before i speak to the Dr. again. please help

Unfortunately there is no right or wrong medication.  Each child responds differently to each medication.  The process is completely trial and error.  Whatever you decide for your daughter to try next if you are unhappy with the side effects talk to your daughters physician.  There are several choices out there so don't think you have to live with side effects.  If they are severe try something different.  My son has been taking meds since last September and we are still adjusting doses and have tried a couple of different medicaions.

in the a.m and a focalin in the p.m.  I was wondering what the sideaffects were?
