Concerta side effects | ADHD Information

My 14 year old son has been on concerta for over two years.  He has ADD-inattentive type.  He needs the meds for school, but socially he is very withdrawn and feeling paranoid.  When he doesn't take it he has a great outlook on the social scene and is very happy, but the teachers are calling me.  When he does take it, he is sad, angry and feeling that his friends don't like him. Any thoughts on this?

Definitely talk to his dr. about other alternatives. Perhaps lowering the dose or changing meds will reduce his side effects. DO TAKE ACTION! It isn't fair for your son to have to deal with all of that.
