Concerta with Straterra | ADHD Information

i do this. its wierd. i dont know if there is a point. my doc told me to keep taking conerta with stratterra becuase straterra doesnt work for a month or so but my next appointment is in a month and i started strattera a month ago! doctors piss me offOur neighbors child was on both but for the reason that their child had severe ADHD and strattera takes a while to kick in so he was on both for a month then they took him off concerta.  You didn't mention if it was long term or if you were switching from one to another.  I hope that helps. The Straterra didn't work for them (or us) fyi.My son did this.  The strattera helped around the clock while the concerta helped with the hyperactivity and impulsivity that the strattera didn't work well with.  it is common to mix the stims with the strattera.Thanks for your responses. My son was on Concerta for a eight months then I had him switched to Strattera as I was concerned about his weight. The Straterra had short term benefit and his weight stablized but eventually stopped working and he could not go to a higher dose as his weight was still too low. He's back on Concerta now because he had the best response but I am still concerned about his weight.Although it seesm contradictory is there any point in combining Concerta and Straterra. Has anyone had any success with this?
