Generic by Ranbaxy | ADHD Information

I know the topic of generic meds has been covered with respect to which generics most accurately replicate the effects of name brand. I remember from past threads that the general concensus was that generic adderall from Barr was pretty ineffective, but generic from Eon was very comparable.

Yesterday I got my second months prescription of Adderall and decided to give generic a try (mostly because I don't like the feeling of being looked at like a drug addict whne I ask for name brand) and the company that makes the generic at my pharmacy is called Ranbaxy. So far I haven't noticed any particularly negative effects, but I also don't feel like it is working as well as equal dose of name brand. I took an add'l 5 mg (my dose is 20) and I feel a little closer to the normal "calm focus" that I have been enjoying since beginning treatment.

Does anyone else have experience with generic adderall from Ranbaxy?

Thanks all!

I also think the Barr version is ineffective. The Abrika brand is the best for me, but it's difficult to find. Next to that is Eon, and I just got a new prescription by Mallinkrot that is only better than Barr. So in order, for me, are: Abrika, Eon, Mallinkrot, Barr as a last resort. I've never tried the Ranbaxy brand, so I can't comment on that. All I know is that all generics are NOT created equal! I've never tried the brand name Adderall, as my insurance barely covers it. With generic I only pay a copay.
