Sounds a bit like me, that. It's not me that's hyperactive, it's my foot - constantly tapping and twitching while I sit and vegetate. If I consciously stop the tapping foot my fingers will start drumming, etc. If I stop all tapping, drumming, fiddling, etc. I have to get up and move around - the hyperactive thing has to go somewhere, I guess.
I think I was pretty lively when I was a kid though, and the constant clips around the ear and shouts of "sit still!" might have had something to do with my hyper turning into a fidget.
Nice to see another Brit on here.
ColGunk,
I do that. I've always been one that HAS to have 8 hours of sleep a night, I could sleep 15 hours before having to get up for food, etc. I also can sleep anytime, anywhere. Best I ever got at it? Was in Air Force Technical school, they made us march to and from school. I learned how to sleep while marching to school!
Now I don't know what's normal anymore, I have a 9mo son who refuses to sleep through the night. And I have to work full time...

I have the same problem. I can not even be on time to work. I cant clean my house. I am soooooo lazy. I would like for the stuff to be done. I think about doing it. Then something always sounds better. I told my Dr that and she gave me Provigil. It has been working great!! It is for people with narcelpscy. I take that and ritalin 1 hour before I have to get up. It works pretty good until about 1:30. Then I get lazy! If I take a ritalin again then I am still kinda lazy at work. When I get home I will clean up some stuff. I undertsand the lazy thing. My room is so messy. However I know where everything is. My dishwasher will be empty I will still but my dishes in the sink. It is crazy how in order to function I have to be tweeking. I have become much the same... a very lethargic ADD, ADLD. It has beenIf I remember right, quite a few people with ADD/ADHD have disturbed sleeping patterns. You may want to look into it. I found out that I do have sleeping problems. Even when I think I'm getting good sleep, I'm not.
