Yea Lillian ! I hope the Lenses work well as our son requires vision therapy also. He is tired of this since been doing this since K now going into 4th.our sons past ot reccomended it.Hey, I'm back from the developmental optometrist's office.  It was very cool.  The doc put these glasses on my son that tracked his eye movements onto a computer, then the doc had my son read a passage from a book and asked him questions.  It seems that my son's eyes are going in two different directions, as he reads.  The doc showed me what it looked like, by putting the passage on the computer and showing my son's eye movement through the passage.  He would read, go back three words, reread, go back two words, read O.K. for a few words, then start the whole process over again.  He was dx as having an accommodation disorder and oculermotor (sp) dysfunction.  His vision, though, is great.  The doc says he see like a hawk.  He just can't get his eyes to work together up close when he reads.    Yeah, it's very interesting and something I have just begun to research.   A kid can have 20/20 vision, yet not be able to see well.  It has to do with tracking words on a page, having depth perception, seeing different colors of print when looking at a page.  A developmental optometrist can check for it because s/he has special equipment.  My son's appointment is at 1:00, so we'll see.Good luck....Tell me what they do with the special equipment, i'd like to know. How did you know he needed more than a eye exam? oh, sorry.

A therapeutic exam is what needed for this not a regular exam. Usually it's a HR. Visits. They do lots of different stuff.Me and son have these several times a year. These kids are given prisms to where and then if it's not enough vision therapy is added.
