I just started using Flaxseed oil for my son. salmon oil and Omega 3,6,9 didn't make much difference. I am hoping this will. He still takes his meds but won't now that summer is here.
My son's naturopathic docotr actually took him off the Flax Seed Oil that we had been put on by an acupuncturist....something about flax seed oil needing all the right co-factors for it to do anything...was very complicated. We are now on borage seed oil, but most folks seem to use evening primrose oil.
How long did you try the omegas for? It can take upwards of 12 weeks to see any improvement.....and as long as you are using the right doses.
Tater38532.7830092593 All this just makes me wonder how much money your spending on this stuff in a month.
Just get a bottle of fish oil from walmart or something and try the recomended dose. It works a little to calm me down.
i was thinking of trying the fish oil for my 6 year old, i just wanted some info like what strength to try if there were differnet strengths, and also do you stop giving them their adhd meds while giving a fish oil?any info is appreciated, thanks to all.No stopping meds we all need this .1/2 of what a Adult gets.I have used the Omegas for several years. Thanks for the tip about the flax seed oil.
I think I will try Borage Oil.

I have listed the doses we were put on, by our ND, on the Alternative Board under the thread Omega.
Our ND recommends Oakmont Lab brand (This product contains no sugar, starch, artificial preservatives or colors. They also weed out all PAs)
