I just recently was put on concerta, it isn't a high dosage or anything ( 3 18 mg tablets a day) but I already feel weird. I can't really tell if it's making me concentrate any better, but I definatly feel like I have motivation to do...anything. I kinda feel like I'm suppose to be doing something but I don't know what lol Anyway, I heard there were all these awful side affects and I read up on some of them, so my question is:
How long does it take for the side affects to kick in?
And has anyone else been taking it for a little while and can they tell me there expierence with it please?

Hi Bethany, i'm not sure how old you are but my 11 year old takes 72 mg. a day. which is two 36 pills each morning. He has been on concerta fro such a long time and this is the only medicine that helps him. He has not had any side effects except loss of appetite, but he is starving every night around 8:45 pm. Good luck on the meds.anytime you start a new med anxiety plays a part in side effects, especially if you read about all the possible side effects.
