Yes, I agree. Concerta is simply a bizarre delivery method for Ritalin, but the delivery system just dilutes the effect of the Ritalin The gunk inside of a concerta tablet is quite possibly the nastiest stuff on earth. No one would eat that if they knew what it was.

LOL   Yuck!well regardless, it probably is focusing all his energy into his other traits, since the adhd aspect is being dealt with, he now has a clear way for the meaness. I am MEAN as well. they put me on chlonidine. it is really strange stuff. but I can't get mean. Tell him I am 35 and a male and have some of the same stuff happening. adderall- mean, ablify-mean, concerta- mean, and I know it. this sux at times and frustrates the heck out of me. I was using strat the night before, after dinner and going to bed about 2 hrs after dinner and doing ok as far as tiredness, you can't take strat in the morning.. makes you sleepy... but I went off strat because it made my muscles twitch and gave me spasms.  now I am stuck with 2 months of strat.... strat=straterra.. tell him that he needs to get some sleep though as the mental part is draining him....

My husband is 36 and was put on 27 mg Concerta about 2 months ago.  He has not been taking it consistently, but I have noticed that he is angry and agitated alot more than usual.  My husband has always had pretty good mood swings, but over the past few months they have become extreme.  He is constantly criticizing me for stupid things, and yelling at our 7 year old son (who also has adhd) for normal behavior.
