BiPolar/ADHD/Mild Autism | ADHD Information
I just started working with a young man in his 20's who was diagnosed with ADHD and mild Autism. He was later diagnosed with BiPolar Disorder and is in the Manic phase most of the time. He is on medication for his BiPolar disorder but nothing for ADHD. Is it possible that he could have ADHD and BiPolar disorder? Is it possible that if he is still ADHD that this disorder is having a negative effect on controling his BiPolar disorder? Any experts out there on individuals who have a combination of these disorders?Go to the Parents of ADHD children message board. There is a mom there whose son was misdiagnosed with ADHD for many years before he got the correct Bipolar diagnosis. The Bipolar disorder worsened while on ADHD meds. Now that he is on the correct meds for Bipolar he is doing much better. She now doubts whether he even has ADHD although there are many people diagnosed with both. The mother I mentioned signs with "pammar" or something like that as her signature.
