ADHD diagnosis in Detroit area | ADHD Information

Hello all,

This is  my first post on this MB. I am glad that this kind of MB exist.  Before this I thought there is something wrong with me and for last 25 yrs I was always upset with myself.

Now that I realize I am probably suffering from ADHD, I want to get it checked out and start  some  medication.  I think I will have  to go to Physciatrist.  Does anyone recommend any Doctor in Metro Detroit area  for ADHD diagnosis ? 

Biggest problem with me is it feels like  my body doesn't obey my mind.  As always I do all the things at last  last moment. I dont want to do this but somehow it turn out this way . For ex. If I want to wake up at 6 AM to finish some work, I end up sleeping some extra time and then I run without eating breakfast. I always watch TV or surf net and then my work gets delayed. I  try to avoid everything until it is crunch time. Does some of you guys have similar experience ?

this is my first post also.

I had my first visit yesterday with a Psychologist in Southfield.  She is very active in the community in getting support groups together and has done a great deal of work with CHADD  www.help4adhd.org  .   All in all had a good experience.

I live n detroit area ....sorry but I goto my fam doc....he been workin with me sine 17 when i finally diag I am now 3......we should get together i'm looking for support and help with the stuf meds don't take away...plus my ins is prolly gonna change and gonna need a new doc...it better not end up with me and a da*n sales pitch i had to move back here iabout lost my mind trying to convince dr's that this is a problem
