Adderall and Wellbutrin | ADHD Information

Hi All.  I am newly diagnosed with ADHD.  I started out on 5mg of Adderall XR and now have been on 10mg a month now.  I went to my doctor this week and I explained to her some of the off and on side effects that I have been experiencing (i.e. body gets tense, hands shake, been emotionally sensitive when drug wears off).  She prescribe to me Wellbutrin to take with the Adderall.  She said it will even out the side effects of the Adderall and not add to them.  She does know I am sensitive to drugs and that I am afraid to be dependent on them.  I trust my doctor but wanted to know if anyone else is on this combination?  What is your experience?  Please let me know.  Thanks!     z0e007Unfortunately we all have to "experiment" with what are the best drug combos for us. Everyone reacts differently to drugs and none of these drugs have been tested in combinations. Side effects often go away after a short period sometimes not. My way of telling if a drug is working for me is to ask a simple question after one month; do I feel better? If not I try another one. Simple fact is that we need drugs to control add and that we never will be "cured" so we'll be taking drugs our entire life. Considering the alternative I'm grateful that these different drugs are available. Be well.
