anyone with bipolar please tell your stories so i will have a good look at what bi-polar looks like instead of a list of symptoms that everyone has i.e "feelings of lonillyness" or "spends too much money." please tell how bi-polar looked when u were 16 as well too that would be helpful. thanks a billion

Come to think of it, I'd never join a German organization, anyway.

Okay, I'm so green to this message board thing but my ego will just have to recover . . . anyway, just to beat a dead horse & other cliches . . . you are 2-2-much! Please hyperfocus & stay on the board--you're what keeps me awake. That & the Thermogenic pills my brother-in-law just gave me . . .
k Lithium is also sometimes prescribed for depression...and is not just for bi-polar treatment. I was on it (combined w/Wellbutrin) for "depression" over a decade ago. But you should not take it unless you are given an rx and under the care/treatment of a psych dr...As pointed out you have to have your blood checked every so often (3 mo?) to make sure things are still ok. Barb, whatya doin' over here? Good to see you get around... I came here
cuz I was board, and this thread started out weird. I think he

[/QUOTE]Davidornado, I am here because I know lithium can hurt and maybe because I just like to SEE myself talk! Me2
I thought schizophrenia also, but I will go into a chat room and
talk to myself when I am waiting for someone so I can't throw stones! That's what I did here, and look what happened. Notice the start date on the thread? It sat here a month before the first reply. I just like making myself laugh,
whether anyone knows or not!
I guess that schizolike, eh? hehe Ya, it is. No it isn't! I was dxd AD! But I haven't told anyone a/b me... Oh, go away, I'll take care of us. I always have. Ah, but you forget the time that I... okok, i forgot deliberately... now GO AWAY!
Besides, while I was waiting to find out what was really wrong with me, I considered schizo and dual personalities. Didn't you? No,
not at all. I thought I was normal, and my wife was the problem. I was
really shocked they thought I was brain damaged, and resisted the dx
for awhile. It took a bankruptcy for me to agree to try drugs. After
several unsuccessful drug trials, including prozack and lithium, they
finally let me try Ritalin. Therefore I studied it, and finally became
a believer.
It would be kind of nice to be able to blame an alien personality
for destroying my life and making a smart, capable person like myself
do really stupid self destructing things. They really are out there, and if it wasn't their fault, it was Wendy's fault.
I think I'll start a thread about how many of us considered different weird things which could be wrong before we got it right. Do it!
I do expect your input. I'll be
there. Let me know when you do, b/c I can't see the tree within the
forest. I kindof have to run into them, but once I do, I set up an
email alert to remind me where I've been, so I can get back there.
That's why computers have been so criticial in my AD managment coping
strategies.
See y'a 'round!

Its there. Its called "What Did you think it might be" in the ADHD Adult board

Yup,
sounds like Kaiser P. to me. They forced 3 dics, I mean docs, on me,
and all said bip. I said ship. I went to my family dalk, and he
'scribed me the Ritn, which I then had filled at KP. The pshyts there
would say I see you're still taking Ritn, and I'd say I'm paying your
wages, and you are full of malpractice, but they let me keep getting
Ritn there. Go figure. Then they misdiagnosed a friend's child, he died
of cancer, and they sued, and won. KP is stupid, and I do not like them.
I was mis-diagnosed as bi-polar and put on Lithium. It turned me into a zombie. I hated it and took myself off of it, then went back to my dr. He didn't believe adults could have ADHD and diagnosed me with everything but. When he finally gave up and tried Wellbutrin, it was the first med which actually had a positive effect.
I think about it now and am just glad he didn't kill me with the wrong stuff.

How about Snowbarding, Surfing & Selling Someone else's belongings without their permission? Sharing starts with an "S". Okay, please keep Sharing your expertise/experiences on these boards, we beg of you(I've decided to Speak--another "S" word--for the masses--how unusual).
