Pre-Employment drug screen & ADHD meds? | ADHD Information
Yep, what she said!oops!GypsyWomyn38552.7484027778 I agree, take your Rxs with you when you go for drug test. Both medications should be listed when they ask for any medications you are taking. Since they are prescribed meds, the lab should not have any reason to disclose this to your employer. And from previous topics (do a search for them) on disclosing your AD/HD to your employer, I, personally, see no reason to, and do not recommend dislosing it.

I would think it's gonna show up. Ritalin is also now a street drug - a class 2 controlled substance.
I'd reveal you take it and bring your prescription with you. Legally they can't discriminate for an illness of this kind - but we all know that it could be used against you. Still, it may make the cut as he/she may just say "ok - thanks for being up-front" - and just put the whole thing to the side.
I know in the 'states that HMO's share info amongst many different groups, and I would worry. Just don't let it rule you - try for the job as hard as you can!!
Good luck fellow traveller!!!
I take Adderall and Ritalin daily for ADHD.
I expect that a pre-employment drug test will flag the adderall as "possibly
amphetamine" I am applying for a fairly senior job on Wall St and don't want
to try interviewing unmedicated but neither do I want my business to
become gossip fodder.
If I disclose this ahead of time need I be concerned?
How wide would news of my ADHD spread? Would a new manager be
informed? Would HR? Would it just be some lab?
Has anyone else gone through this before?
