Adderall........Urination side affect? | ADHD Information

Our son started on Adderall XR two weeks ago, and I have not seen this.  (But who knows....)Is frequent urination a side effect from Adderall xr? I thought I read that but I have looked up so much stuff lately, now I can't remember where I read it. My son seems to be going to the bathroom an awful lot lately. He says nothing hurts he just has to go. We have a doc appt this week.

Is he drinking more liquids than usual?

Stimulant medications have dry mouth as a common side effect. This often makes people want to drink more water, so he may be going to the bathroom more because of that.

No, no more liquids than usual. He is going to the bathroom like 3 times within 30 minutes. Which I though is a bit much.

My son seems to go the the bathroom a lot too.  Once during the school year the teacher even commented to me.  (I asked her to let me know any concerns) I noticed on vacation this past week, before we left the house, he would say, I just want to go to the bathroom again.  I thought maybe he was just nervous he would have to go while we were in the car. 

I don't recall ever seeing this as a side effect though, but now you have my curiousity going.  He is 7 on has been on adderallxr since Nov.
