I found that my dr. would give me rx slips for a certain amount of months...and then I was supposed to go in for a med check over my breaks when I went home...Although, at my university, they have dr.s who will refill students' current prescriptions (they will not alter them, however). Also, my campus has a pharmacy, but they only carry the basics (birth control and stuff like that) they don't carry adderall, ritalin, etc.
Definitely talk to your psych. and call the university to find out whether they have dr.s who will refill your rx....and find out if they carry your medication/where the closest pharmacy is that you could get it filled. Having this all figured out before going to college should make things easier and should minimize possible "panic situations."

My school has a pharmacy on campus so I was guessing my psychiatrist could send it to my school mailing address and fill it at the school pharmacy.
If that is a problem have the presciption sent to home address and have parents fill it at our pharmacy and have it sent to me.

Right now I see my doctor 2-3 months and in between visits he mails out my persciption. So I figure that he would be able to mail it to me at school and schedule appointments during breaks. But I was wondering if there is a problem with having a controlled substance filled at a pharmacy at school and at home? Adhd should be noted in a file for school so no issue with this.
