Songs like "Am I awake?" by They must be Giants.  Songs that are eclectic and mostly odd.  80's pop as I was at my best and worst then lol.

techno/trance to the max,

look me up on myspace.com/jeffreydamron and i'll send you TONS of it

Anything at all by Mr Bungle. Mike Patton of Faith No Mores real band. Put funk, punk, rock, metal, jazz in a blender and set it to "no more than 8 bars of the same style per song" and you end up with perfect ADD music that leaps around more often than your brain. Classical Music is good as it help stimulant the Brain. Told by a women I met who works in a SE coop where she lives. This has been proven in research she told me also. I dig all dance music with lots of bleep and bloop sounds in it.

"Do you like waffles?" by Perry Hall (The guy from Nerf Herder)

I've had it stuck in my head for weeks now. I really like it because I am always making up annoying songs like that all the time (much to the annoyance of others).

Here's a link for a funny animation that goes with it - http://www.scaredofbees.com/waffles.htm

addlad - the name of the Blink-182 song is "What's my age again?". I always found that song to be hilarious.

boredomkills38552.2432638889I have been singing "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith almost all summer. I CANNOT get that tune and words out of my mind.  I love that song. (I sing it to my dog all the time...hahahaha. I just love her to pieces and she almost died on the 4th of July, so it sort of fits.)
bluebird3838555.4092013889The Jam, Clash, Stiff Little Fingers Mid-1970's British Punk!!! Also late 70's early 80s American hardcore punk..Fear, Black Flag... Love that raunchy fast music...real loud too!stole this topic at another forum - thought it was fun.

I vote for this song, I don't know why but I feel fine.

Its the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) Lyrics - Document Album
That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an aeroplane -
Lenny Bruce is not afraid. Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn -
world serves its own needs, don't misserve your own needs. Feed it up a knock,
speed, grunt no, strength no. Ladder structure clatter with fear of height,
down height. Wire in a fire, represent the seven games in a government for
hire and a combat site. Left her, wasn't coming in a hurry with the furies
breathing down your neck. Team by team reporters baffled, trump, tethered
crop. Look at that low plane! Fine then. Uh oh, overflow, population,
common group, but it'll do. Save yourself, serve yourself. World serves its
own needs, listen to your heart bleed. Tell me with the rapture and the
reverent in the right - right. You vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright
light, feeling pretty psyched.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

Six o'clock - TV hour. Don't get caught in foreign tower. Slash and burn,
return, listen to yourself churn. Lock him in uniform and book burning,
blood letting. Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate. Light a candle,
light a motive. Step down, step down. Watch a heel crush, crush. Uh oh,
this means no fear - cavalier. Renegade and steer clear! A tournament,
a tournament, a tournament of lies. Offer me solutions, offer me alternatives
and I decline.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

The other night I tripped a nice continental drift divide. Mount St. Edelite.
Leonard Bernstein. Leonid Breshnev, Lenny Bruce and Lester Bangs.
Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom! You symbiotic, patriotic,
slam, but neck, right? Right.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine...fine...

(It's time I had some time alone)

"what the f**k is add"

no-one knows this song. its an old blink 182 song. its about a guys girlfriend taking off his pants but he's too distracted by the tv to notice. its real funny, if ur name is sunny.

well...the trance/techno that i get is all off of technomoon which you have to pay an annual fee to access it.  i sift through HOURS and GIGS of livesets/radioshows and then cut out the parts that are the best.  so its worth getting a (free) screen name from aim.com because then i can transfer it to you via AOL IM.  but dling off the net i dont know of any places.

i think that techno music invoke a sense of having a seizure constantly brainspin38556.4000347222

Acutally the song The Resistance wrote there is by Great Big Sea and not by Blink 182

Lemon Jelly:

Lemon Jelly falls somewhere between the light, obliquely ironic Lithium disco of Air and gentle, loving mockery of the musical pretensions of that genre. The English duo of Nick Franglen and Fred Deakin charts cool, ethereal courses through the little fluffy clouds, wandering off occasionally into candy-colored La La Land, while superimposing occasional samples of sleepy Discovery Channel/Mr. Rogers voices offering surreal, seemingly educationally derived narration. The grooves are rich and powerfully relaxed, the beats deep and hypnotic. This is way-downtempo dance music that makes you feel like someone's slipped a Valium into your champagne flute. *

It sounds like the bi of a bipolar diagnosis. Or the depressive of a manic depressive dx. Because I like their music so much, maybe I am bi, like my wife keeps insisting. Thing is, Lithium only helped me catch up on sleep (maybe that's why my wife liked it so much...I was asleep all the time: no trouble) dep (16 hours per day). Snore. Snore. Snore. Snore. X Snore. Snore. Snore. Snore. = 16 snorefuls.

Hey, here's an ADDism:

I had a "snoreful" of sleep last night.

OR

I was overmedicated with "snoreful" medicine.

We can ADDit to our lexicADDology.

Actually, I like fast, complicated, loud, enthusiastic music, whether it is Latino Reggaedon, New Style Country, Regular Rock, New Rock, Classic, etc. : the louder the faster the better.

The perfect song for me would have to be "Burning Down The House" by The Talking Heads. Just kind of senseless and a blast to sing in the car on those long drives to visit family. Otherwise anything by Dave Matthews Band can mellow me out.

Classic Rock and Roll

Turned up fairly loud

Wow - I'm going down memory lane with the songs I see.  A lot of it I'd forgotten at least in part.

I like techno - the good 80s kind like new order, tangerine dream, even ELO was techo-esque (ok I'm stretching the definintion I know).

I love the 80s - my favorite period in history for music.  I skipped high school to go down to the arcade and watch them bring on MTV's first video - the Buggle's "video killed the radio star" - and fly the flag on the moon with the MTV astronaut.  I watched the stars of the time poof up their hair, put on their piano ties and bandana wristwear and scream "I wanna ROCK".  Every time Canada's music station muchmusic plays the retro hour  I watch or at least listen behind me as I peruse the forums.  It brings me back.

I really love the early 80s as it sticks out in my memory so much.

wow senor david - that's one very trippy review!  I'll be sure to check it out tomorrow when I regain consciousness - but I aint gonna touch the green links!  Don't anybody touch the green links!DAVID! epitonic rules!

EXCEPT that they never update anything..I don't think they've ever added a new song ever!!!  I go for l British Punk too--Sham69 is a fav.  anything with lots of racket...
But then Laurie Anderson is good too--lots of bleeps and blips...
Wagner is nice when I'm pissed...
Mozarts Requim Mass--the Kyria Elasion (sp?) part espec.--is also fun and bombastic...
oh there's way too much to list...

sakura said "lots of bleeps and blips"

Oooh, i like that! I'll have to listen to them now. Well, that is if the bleeps and blips are due to omnopatoleia, and not overrieds cuz of bad lyrics. ..

I like fast, complicated music with lots of bleeps and plbs...

heavy metal & rock

I like all the DJs and dance music. Especially Euro-dance & other continents.

DJ Mystik, DJ Onyx, DJ AM, DJ Epic..and so on and so forth

I am with you Reizende, any kind of dance music.  Especially working out and driving down the highway and cleaning my house...Dance music rocks!!

Dance music seems like the kinda music that represents "hyper" hehe

My feet never stop moving..

I have always been big into techno-pop. Like Depeche Mode & Kraftwerk. heheDitto...I always have music on..even when the TV is on...somehow music helps me focus....Did you ever listen to Ministry before they turned into hard industrial?A long time ago when Ministry first came out I think they were living around here...a friend of mine that was in real estate was able to get an autograph of the lead singer..alain jourgensen...I loved them in the beginning, but as they got industrial I was not liking what they sounding like...anytime you come across good music..feel free to pass it my way and I will do the same for you...
How about more adhd like songs? Anyone?
??? more adhd like songs? ???

Is that like an ADHD Events?

I'm with annie41, The Dave Matthews Band," Before These Crowded Streets" CD is the bom.  I also love John Mayer "Heavier Things-CD, and Coldplay "A Rush of Blood To The Head"-CD.

Oh, and anything by SADE is awsome!

How about more adhd like songs? Anyone? Yikes, that techno stuff is just not for me.  Give me something guitar driven.

Heavy metal to work and Baroque to relax.

However, I would say my collection is pretty much like melly73's. However, most of my music is on vinyl.

And the Dead, well, as the Dead. Need we say more?

"She’s got everything delightful, she’s got everything I need,
Takes the wheel when I’m seeing double, pays my ticket when I speed..."

I don't get any better than that.

Regards,

jimmo

to add lad 456?whats my age again(I  think)(therefore im not normal where i work)

Surprised I wasn't more mellow, as I listen to a lot of Grateful Dead.

Actually, the music that can get me jumping around is Phish.  I love Phish!  In my day, I did the little "tour" thing and did make about 26 shows in a 4 year period.  A lot of their stuff is pretty upbeat.  I was pretty bummed when we watched a simulcast of their final show last year, but my hubby downloads a ton so we have a lot of shows to play in the car, house, etc.

I like 80's, some 90's and mostly 70's stuff.  My CD collection is actually pretty eclectic.

I unfortunately got into the Dead just before Jerry passed on.  I got more into Phish, but my husband no doubt is the Dead Head amongst us.  He always says if he could have majored in the Dead in college, he'd have passed with flying colors!  LOL  The one good thing with being diagnosed ADHD and taking the Adderall is my drumming is getting better!    We have a dejembe and it used to be a little confusing to play since I had to concentrate and keep a rhythm.  I played a little last week and did so much better!  LOL

Love your lyrics jimmo!  My husband's nickname for me is actually his "Sugar Magnolia" aka Mags.  We also found a website with the most mixed up lyrics and Sugar Magnolia was in there with "takes the wheel when I'm seein double, bakes my chicken when I sleep."  Just a little joke
