Adderall: My Experience (POSITIVE) | ADHD Information

My expectations were unrealistic I guess. After I came to grips with the fact that Adderall was not going to immediately turn me into Superman, I realized how Adderall was effecting me personally.

First of all, the first time I took it I was a little scared because you can definitely "Feel" it taking effect and it is an odd feeling. I got over that it about an hour.

Adderall keeps me from feeling rushed, and has eliminated some of the insane obsessive / compulsive crap that used to rule my life.

I used to be a food addict, but now I eat like a normal person which is all I have ever wanted.

I go to the gym and I am not in a hurry to leave.

I am mentally clear and focused and I am more sociable.

It will not teach you new tricks or give you muscles or make you a star so get those unrealistic expectations out of your head.

However, it will definitely level the playing field, normalize your life, and allow you to focus your thoughts.

It has also made me want to touch my wife more often for some reason.

All in all, I am very pleased but you have to keep your expectations real. You can do great things on adderall, but it will be you and not the medication. The medication only levels the playing field for once in your life.
GoBigOrange38552.3470023148In a nutshell, Adderall makes you "normal"...which is what we ADDers have never known. Actually, it makes you more normal but with an edge because of the great ideas we can come up with that most people can't. Man, I can't come up with how many times someone has said to me, "That's a great idea! How the heck did you come up with that?!" Use it to your advantage, ADD is a gift and is awesome once you get it under contro..
