Difficulties Communicating? Great Link!! | ADHD Information

Share

Hi GreatWoman,

I'm back. Good stuff, and I'd do what you did, but as that is already done, can I trouble you to attach the .docs you transcribed to an email, and email it to me? I know its lazy of me to ask, but look at the time, and there is so little of it, and so many more places to explore, and things to say... distractions to follow, o wow, look at that!

Thanks, buddyette. You're a GypsyOne! I'll reciprocate with a .doculated html-ation from a scattered author. That's why I know it takes so long to consolidate their ramble-ations.

Thanks!

Thanks! Now I'll be impulsive and demonstrably distrative, and go check it out!

Looks like a great site.  I added it to my favorites!

Thanks

Cool Gypsy, I bookmarked this as well! thats neat! 8 )I've also copied to MS Word from that site the information on each 'topic' concerning communication problems, which so well explain how we AD/HDers differ from 'normals.'

Hyperactive Mind
Distractibility
Absent-minded/Forgetfulness
Impulsiveness
Inability to “read” others
Emotional outbursts
Problems with finding the right words
Monopolizing the conversation
Different perceptions

And I plan to print them out to give to some family members and good friends, so they will hopefully get some insight to and understand what it is I try to explain to them (using my usual poor communicating skills) how I may be different or what difficulties I experience that they may not. Thus, explain my AD/HD to them more clearly. Sure, many non-ADHDers may experience some of the difficulties we do, but not each and every one of them...unless they are actually ADHD as well. ;)]

That link is also good for anyone new to their AD/HD, and are a bit confused and need clarification, as I did. Just stick to the text between all the ads and other links. We've all had difficulties at one time or another with communication, right? Especially in the 'normal' world with 'normal' people. I, in particular, find this link excellent in addressing communication difficulties for those with AD/HD, along with skills and tips to manage:
