right dosage of adderall? | ADHD Information

Question: how do you & your doctor know when you are taking the right dosage of Adderall?

I went from taking generic Adderall which didn't do anything for me, to taking the brand name (real stuff) Adderall 10mg/2x a day  which I told the doctor that I could tell the difference between the 2 but was still drinking a pot of coffee per day on the real Adderall 10mg.

When I last saw her 8 days ago, she bumped me up to 15mg/2x a day. I go back on Fri to see her again but I dont know what to tell her.

I drink less coffee only 2) 8oz per day now. I'm thirsty, I go to the bathroom alot. In the morning I can feel it kick in & start working. My husband has noticed that around 5pm I start to stop looking him in the eye & forget to eat.

I'm still late for everything because I get doing something & forget about the time & like right now I have 2 things I've started on & need to finish instead of being on the computer.

Any suggestions that would help?

I always thought weight was a factor when the Dr. adjusts the meds. More side effects occur with a higher dosage. redhead- stimulant meds are based on the individual's brain's metabolism of the drug, not the weight of the person.  You know you are taking the correct amount of adderall if you pass out shortly after taking it.
