Dex vs. other meds | ADHD Information

I've experienced a general dryness from Adderall. I always had a dry mouth and throat, always felt thristy and dehydrated. My body became used to it though. Just like in your case, my doctor also said this had nothing to do with the Adderall, but dehydration is actually a listed side-effect of the drug, and I had never had that happen to me before it. Like I said though, my body became more used to the Adderall. Now 3 months into it, I no longer feel anything like that. While you feel effects like that you should try to drink a lot of water throughout the day, it might help, or use a nasal moisturizer - there are ointments and liquid sprays for that.

Hey, first time posting on the boards.  I guess lately Ive been coming to grips with the fact that I need a little help taking control of my ADD.  I was diagnosed when I was getting in to highschool and put on Dexidrine.  Anyways, I had a pretty bad experience with it.

This was probaly nine years ago now, but back then I experienced daily spontanious nose bleeds.  The doctors chalked this up to 'dry air' but they went away as soon as I went off the meds, and came back when I started back up a few months later.  But docs know best right.

My question is that since Ive had a bit of a bad run in i'm a little weary of going back on any meds and I'm just curious if anyone has gone drom Dex to another drug and found it to be a little more tolerable.  I can't be the only one who didn't get along with it
