started my daughter at a neuro - waste of time - finally found a adhd clinic at a major taching hospital - what a Blessing!!!! they understand what we are going through and are so helpful with medication issues, behavioral therapy, even helping so much with pre-school issues. The down side is that it takes me almost 2 hours each way once a month for the meds - sooooo worth the trip though!!  quite expensive though..... also, worth it...... good luck!I live in virginia and also can not find a neuro doctor that accepts medicaid :(i have tried to get my son into a neuro dr for a couple of weeks now to no avil,no drs here will accept medicaid, i did call the childrens hospital 4 hours away but they have a adhd clinic there and she said they will give my son a 2-3 hour appt and give a dx and a treatment plan ,they are booked until oct or nov but hey i've waited for 6 years now whats another couple of months. please watch parents where some drs refer your kids because my son's ped. said to take him to a behavior center, i took him last week, oh my god this place was a reg mental institution with locking doors and guards ,my son was scared to be there.

OMG!!! That's awful!! I would be scared to be there!!! I recently reached the end of my road as far as help goes for my son in my city... it is very frustrating!!!!!
