I am on 20mg of adderall xr once a day in the AM..........I take it early at around 6 am............I really don't feel as though it is helping me until around 11am or so................Then, however, for the remainder of the day I feel great....I understand it's a slow release but isn't 5 hours a little long to start feeling the effects.........I feel as though I'm losing my whole morning........Should it take that long to work its "magic"........I was thinking of asking my doctor for a regular adderall (non-XR) to take in the morning.......Anyone have this experience or know anything about how long these things take to work.thanx..john
Hi John, I am also on 20mg once a day. I take it around 6/6:30. What happens to me is that I start to feel focused around 7;30 and then by 11:30 I am so unfocused and distracable it is hard for me to get anything done. I thought it was suppose to keep us focused for at least 6 to 8 hours. I am wondering what happened to my other 4 hours. Today my Dx gave me my 20mg time released and 10 mg regular. He wants me to try this for a month...So, time will tell and hopefully it will help...lynda
