I know what you are talking about - similar to my begining use of adderall. First ffew days were like yours. I started on 20 mg in am and gosh if I remember I think 20 mg in pm. I am now 40 & 20+ depending on my day ahead of me.
To be honest I have never flet that 'switch" come one in my brain like Oh i feel the meds working or kicking in. BUT my attitude was better, and my concentrtion improved, along w/ my implusiveness and a few other thngs. I didn't tell others around me at work that I began treatment for ADD, and during the 1st two months my supervisior and another higher up noticed a change in me and commented to me that they do not know what it is, but they see an improve ment. I still feel as though the meds are not working, and actully my productivity is lagging, but I think that might be me and other external distractions in life.
I am thining my dose needs to be adjusted, but I am not seeing a psych and only seeing my primary medical doctor, so I am a little hesitant.
so for me what you are explaining is normal.

Any response if helpful and appericatedyou sure it's now working still? could it be that you might be getting used to the feeling, but if you pay really close attention, the meds might be working quietly?Just a question..in reference to all meds. Has anyone taking a med and the first day was a little weird such as side effects( feeling tired or anxiou-any side effects from the stimulate meds), but felt good and able to concentrate, control hyperness. Then the second day felt better, because all the side effects went away and then you are able to be productive. But then the third, fourth, fifth day seemed like you weren't even taking the med. I hope this makes sense. Another words have you taken a med seemed like there was a light at the end of the tunnel and then a couple days later its like"great now what do I do" the med as working, but now it does not seem like it has its full affect. PLEASE let me know if anyone has experienced meds not working after first few days and what you did door told you doctor. I am going to see me DOC tomorrow. Any advice would be greatly appeciated.
