I was on Strattera for a little over a month and decided to stop it without any consultation from the Doc...I had absolutely no problems doing so..Its a non stimulant I belive it leaves your system rapidly..its an easy "Drug" to get off of.
No one should stop taking this drug without consulting their doctor. Because it is a medicine that has to build up in your system, it should also be slowly removed from your system. You should ALWAYS slowly wean off of any medication that has to build up in your system. You are NEVER supposed to go "cold turkey" off of these meds...

Unfortunately, I did let my Doctor know and he never got back to me, so I took it upon myself to do so. And its a fallacy that you should ALWAYS wean off of a medication, this was a non-stimulant and it was easy as cake to kick, with no withdrawls at all. Certain meds you can just stop, others you can't..I'd reasearch the subject a little more if I were you.
