Ritalin anyone? | ADHD Information
Oh, God, YES!
I now could not live without it. Do a search on my posts, specially in ADHD Meds, where I detail a lot a/b all the AD/HD meds.
I'm a research biologist, and love the science of the mind. I'm not a psychologist nor pshrynque, so can't help medically.
I specialize in botanical endocrinology, which has a lot to do with
understanding the chemical biology of cellular behavior and
communication. Communication between cells, that is. So I understand
this stuff quite well, but right now don't want to get into it, cuz I
already have, and it's late, and I'm hungry.
Have hope, cuz you're not alone. It's different for everyone. I've been
on Ritalnin for 8 years, and I've gained weight. I don't eat much
during the day, but for breakfast, b4 the Rx kicks in, and late at
night, after they've kicked out, I pig out. Oink.
I can't say I've had any problems with Rit, per se, 'xcept that I'd
forget to take it cuz it wore off so fast. So Dalk put me on a timed
release one. LA.
As for how I feel, I feel like I can do what I'm supposed to do without
getting sidetracked. I don't drink, spend, or other impulsive things
when I'm on it. Weekends, evenings, when it wears off, I do the stupid
things.
Also, everyone is different. Ritn may not be for you. Joyous26 has been
on Strattera, and it isn't doing too good for her. I think she needs
Rit or ADDerall. Maybe you need Strattera, or Concerta. What's your
Dalk say?
Good luck, good eating, and good night!
David
