I know you don't want another gadget but I am going to tell you about this anyway.
I recently bought my 2 very good friends the Olympus ds-(something something) -- I'll tell you excatly what it is once I find the reciept (Yes, I Know where it is). Ans I got myself the olympus dm-10. All three of us love what we have. Go to Epinions.com and look them up. I got mine to record long lectures and trainings and for spound recordings of operas. THe one I got for my two friends cost less but they are durable, easy to use, very small, and they love it. I'll give you anymore information that I can. Just ask.
I was looking into those and they look really nice. Especially the ones that are digital and can be downloaded to a PC. That way I can archive them and refer back to them. In my opinion that would help anyone, especially someone with ADD, out. I was thinking the digital recorder would be great for meetings and long recordings but I wanted it to be able to record voice memos without having to carry an extra device. Guess I am just asking for a bit too much. That and my other worry is that I won't use it because it is inconvenient. But I am sure sooner or later with some research I will find what is best for me. Anything you can help or provide is appreciated. ThanksI am looking for a cell phone that has a voice recorder. The more time it can hold the better. I have to carry a cell phone for work and really don't want to have to carry another gadget. I am not fond of PDA's at all. I might be wiling to make the trade from my paper day planner to a PDA if I'm not able to find a cell phone with a voice recorder. The goal of the voice recorder, if possible, would be to record 1/2 hour to 1 hour long mtgs and misc voice reminders for myself. Anyone have any recommendations? If anyone has any recommendations on PDA's or sites for me to look at I'd be happy to hear those ideas as well.Well I took your advice Benjamin and bought a voice recorder. I bought the Olympus VN-480PC. Really nice recording time, all digital so I can download it to my pc, easy to use, small. Actually used it for a mtg about an hour or so after I bought it. I have a tendency to over analyze things and that was what I was doing with the PDA, cell phone thing. I guess I just want to make sure I am going to use it. So my plan is to use the voice recorder for meetings and then pick up a cell phone when my contract runs out that has a voice memo feature. Might be a little tough but easieer than to give up my day planner and start using a PDA IMO. Thanks for the advice.
