I have been tested two times and they were slightly different.
They ask questions about your back ground.
If you have report cards from your early grade school it's good to take them with you.
I had to answer 500 q. on a personality test. Q. like do you agree or disagree...multiple choice....often or never...just go with your first response, and be honest.
Did a test on computer where letters flash on the screen and you tap the space bar on each letter except the x.
I was shown pictures and had to complete sequence. very easy.
The worst part for me was math and Spelling.
Thats all I can remember right now.
Good luck!
OH YAH! I played with blocks....well not realy played ...but everything was fairly simple.
LTC1, I am curious to know, how long was it from the time you took the test till you were actually diagnosed and treatment began?
The testing is not bad, fairly easy stuff. Just be yourself.....HMMmmmm.....I just re-read your post; you don't actually say your going in, to be tested....so if you are just going into chat with psy. Once again I will say just be yourself.
I find it helpful to make a list of problems I'm having. List concerns, and questions. That way, I will remember why I'm there.
Welcome to the board!
Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it. I will let you know how things went after the appointment tomorrow.
I think it took two weeks.
I had to go back to my primary DR for RX.
I'm back! Doc said I'm bipolar and adhd, didn't expect that one! Anyway he said the bipolar is more serious and needs to be addressed immediately so he prescribed lithium and wellbutrin sr. He said if the depressive state is under controll.and the side effects minimal we'll deal with the adhd at my next appointment. By the way you were right about the testing it was a breeze, I was silly to be concerned about it. Just like you said. Questions and some card games. Thanks for your support!
I was just doing some internet research and found that bipolar and adhd with depression can be confused. Does anyone have any imput on this?
