do meds come in liquid form? | ADHD Information

Yes, someone else posted something about that on the forum, i would ask the Dr. or pharmacy about that. She also said about a website about liquid meds.

My son also had great difficulties w/ swallowing at age 6.  Last I knew there were no medications available in a liquid.  There is at least one medication, maybe adderall, that can be broken up.  We put it in applesause and had my son swallow it w/ small bites.  But most of the extended release meds cannot be broken and so he had to eventually learn how to swallow.  I would love to be totally positive about the experience, in teaching my son to swallow, but it was pretty much heartbreaking and pure hell in the beginning.  I would say it took him up to 4-5 months to get totally comfortable with it.  Now at 7, he does great, so there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  Wish you much luck and patience!!

My dd just turned 7 and will probably be diagnosed with ADD. I want to find out if any of the meds are in liquid, because she's too young to swallow pills? What do kids do if they can't swallow pills?I found out that there is a liquid med called methylin, and I am trying to find info on it before we try it. Just wanted you to know!
