Cannot fall asleep without:  The television screen swimming before my eyes & someone droning on & on about a murder investigation.Wah'ts the opposite of Jedi?

I d e j

.

Or would it be PadawanLearner?

Or nOrmal?

Certainly not this "thing":
Whatever the opposite of Jedi is is likely what I am.  Isn't it time to clean out your Man-Purse?  Just kidding with you--the term you coined has made my root canal want to smile almost all day since I saw it.I don't get anything ready the night before...

...I"m too busy posting....

But! I have two complete changes of clothes scattered about my car. Does that count?

I have food squirreled away, drink, water, meds, etc...

My car is ADHD, too.
Anticipation is the key--if you can imagine it, it could happen.
What? Fall asleep?

I anticipate I'm falling asleep...I anticipate I'm falling asleep...I anticipate I'm falling asleep...I anticipate I'm falling asleep...

What do you think you are, a Jedi or something like that?

Lol

Wordwoman - I do this! I have to pick out my clothes for the next day too; otherwise, I know I’ll choose something irrational, impractical or inappropriate. (Eg if I’m cold when I get up, and haven’t previously selected clothes, I’ll put on combat trousers and a big jumper and not even consider that it is 6.00am and it’ll be roasting by 9.00am.) I have as set shut down routine at the end of the day, which I have to complete to be able to put my mind at ease enough about the next day to get to sleep. This will even include checking the weather forecast to ensure I put out the right clothes and plan my day right!

I have a similar set routine in the morning, the aim of which is simply to get me ready and out of the house on time. I can’t do decisions first thing, so I have to sort stuff the night before.

Anticipation is the key--if you can imagine it, it could happen.  If I can see it, it must be neat & in its place.Pre-cisely, WordWoman!  It's hell for me and anyone else involved/in my vicinity if I have to do ANYTHING in the morning--which is why I stay up all night doing everything!

I am going for a psych eval for adhad in about an hour, I am desperate to know more about the diagnostic process and you seem to be the only one online right now.  Can you fill me in a little before I leave for my appointment.  The biggest question is how long will it take to find out if I have it or not?Darknight. Being very full of chocolate ice cream and cheese sandwiches and chocolate milk. Super soft down pillows and a little blanket.

Ambien

and putting them on the kitchen table (it is hell if I have to search for
them in the morning), 2) checking to see if the door is locked, even
though I know it is, 3) Ambien.

I don't know why, but ever since I was young, it has been virtually impossable for me to sleep, or even attempt to sleep unless I'm awake.  One time I was half awake, but it wasn't enough to go back to sleep with until I awoke fully.
I cannot fall asleap without being so tired that I can't keep my eyes open and I just pass out.
Yeah, but ya gotta admit if feels great just to pass out. I pretend I'm in a war and got knocked out, or on a secret mission and got gassed, or on a rescue and got avalanched, or running from the law b/c they have helo's w/lights (not that I thought I did anything wrong), or accidentally took 3 provigil instead of RitLA, and had to go find a 100 hour war to fight so I'd get sooooo exhaused and fall asleep...

What do you do in the bath?

Get your BirdSuit on, Son!

No, it's nOrmal-Dalk, come to give us Psychie Valuations (that foxy vixen in a revealing non-ADD tight clothing with tags all over Business Suit)!. ADDerall, they've always wanted to takeaway our RitLA, Dexi, adderALL, Focalin, etc. and replace it with STRATTERAT and TACTERIC!!! .

Quick! Have Butler (forgot his name; was it Q?) call the Cat'sMeow (the Milk Bar on 1st St.) and get all the hers in her CatSuits! We'll SCRATCH this one together... We need more CatSuits! Now where did I put my BatSuit???

!ZAMBONI!
Is this the end for our superADDrs? Will our heroin make it in time? Will Psychie Valuations and nOrmalDoc finally have their way with our dynamic duo stash? Or dynamic trio, when CatSuit arrives? or dynamic fouro, when the next PosterChild arrives? Or will the ADHD News.com forum come to the rescue with their own SuperADD Heroisms?

Don't touch that mouse! Stayed 'tooned for more action...

Hi Nenie,

I wish I could have helped answer this one.

How did it go?

I trust it went well.

Let us know.
Super soft down pillows
How many? I use 2 down pillows (one for under my head, and one for over my face; my nose peeks out) and one longer, thick, huggable poly pillow (my wife kicked me out).
