Texas Tech Finds Alternative | ADHD Information

GOOD ONE! That was funny. lol

I am afraid I don't understand what you think is funny about that quote.  Did you not read the Texas Tech Study?  He didn't make that up I went to Tech I picked up the phone and called a professors at the school, that was a legitimate study done by a major university.  Second if you knew anything about people with add or adhd you would know that when they get tired trying to keep there focus is like trying to keep a bull in a cage made out of paper!  This product obviously worked for him, it worked for me and my child.  It worked when compared to Ritalin my medical students.  Why do you think it is a joke.  Do you know something I don't!

Also the product indgredients are on the page.  Not sure what you are talking about there either.  They way I look at it is if doctors formulated it out of mostly vitamins and have proven it to be more affective then a class 2 narcotic.  Who am I to contradict someone is much more qualified in the field!  That would be like me telling Payton Manning how to run a offensive play or something.

Spark has caffeine in it...About the same as a cup of coffee.

Don't bother checking this link. It is a COMPLETE joke. The ingredients of the drink are buried, and the fool selling it obviously doesn't have a clue about ADHD based on the following quote:

I was working a full time job and taking 12 hr of science classes at college.  The problem I was having is that by the time I got off of work I was so tired I couldn't stay awake to study all of the hours that was being required of me for falling asleep so my grades were suffering.  So I tried spark to see if it would help me stay focused and awake so that I could study.  The first time I took it I was absolutely amazed on how well it worked for me!  I was able to sit and study for hours without distraction and without falling asleep.

NoTellin38985.8633796296I am sorry I don't mean to get upset.  It just upsets me when I try to help people with problems they need help with by talking about something that is working for me and my kid and I get laughed at.  I didn't have to come on here and try and help you or anyone’s kids out but I did because that is the type of person i am.  I want to tell others, if I know some thing that might help them.  Ya I am sure the young man on the site would love to sell a million dollars worth of that stuff.  But no different then Stratera or aderal or Ritalin wants to make a million dollars off you.  I most be different I don't degrade people for trying to make an honest living, and when they put facts behind what they are saying like the young man on the site did.  I call that an honest living.  If it wasn't for the Tech Study I wouldn't have even given it the time of day.  But he put the facts where his mouth was and I can appreciate that!  Also I have tried it and where I am from there is an old saying that goes like this "Don't knock it till you try it."  If you do you are not speaking from person experience but from an uninformed opinion. Teresa, I don't think anyone on this section of the board would "knock" an alternative method if it works -- heck, there have been people who have used Mountain Dew as an alternative "medication."  However, when a post appears to be a blatant promotion for one particular product, it seems a bit suspicious.... especially when you don't have a high post count (so, it seems you just joined and posted JUST about this product).  Many of us use supplements, vitamins, homeopathy, etc. and are educated about different products/items that work.  Take the time to get to know us!

teressa58,

The list of ingredients may include vitamins, but it also includes a good dose of caffeine. The paper states that it is not known which ingredient is working and needs to be further tested. There have been small studies showing caffeine works, at least for a while. Many adults use it alone and some use it to augment their meds.
