Just started my 8yr old on Pedi-Active. I'm in the process of having my child evaluated by the school then her doctor. She has had trouble with focusing in school since she started Kindergarden. We thought it was just her age and then in 1st we blamed a bad teacher and school system. Now that we moved to a different town went through what we thought was a pretty good year last year in 2nd. She is now a year behind in reading and finally with a good teacher that really wants to help. She is still having problems focusing in class. Has anyone tried Pedi-Active? I don't want to medicate her with drugs. There is also the product Focus at our local herb store. Would love to hear any input.

Hi Lois....perhaps you will find the information below helpful.
We used pedi active with both of our boys, I found it after changing our entire diet and following a VERY ridged plan all basically to get foods that provide the same ingrediants as pedi active
It made HUGE differences for our boys and having tried the prescribtion medications and gotten zombies in return this did as much or more for them , as far as building a resistance I agree six months or so was about the point where our younger started having "demished returns" but with the older boy {9} at at the time we only gave him the pedi active during school days this left friday evening saturday and sunday without any and he got max benifits all along for school and never did change and after 3 weeks without we did the same with the younger boy and he did great , if he needed good concentration on a weekend we simple did a single dose a half hour before
I would HIGHLY recommend trying it ,it really helped our boys
as a after thought we also found out from our pediatrician that MSG / partially hydroginated soy bean oils are among the most allergenic ingrediants and he says it has a very negitive effect on adhd kids we cut back as much as we could and thats helps also
its in about 90% of products but we simple cut all msg and cut partially hydroginated soybean if it is listed in the top 7 ingrediants of something
