Omegas in what form | ADHD Information
For anyone using Coromega: I don't know what you pay for them, but iHerb sells Coromega packets for .97 for a 90 ct. package. Google iHerb to find their site. I buy ALL my own supplements there and highly recommend them.
I have been giving my son omega+joy in the orange liquid I got from genuine health. Not sure if this is acceptable, but I also get dynamic health's liquid multivitamin from iherb and I just mix the 2 liquids in a small measuring cup (like a nyquil cup) and give to him each morning. I may switch to the MorEPA minis though as they look to be cheaper.myjeffrey39475.6458564815
We love Coromega....a pudding like supplement that comes in handy single dose packets you can throw in your purse if you need to be on the go. Comes in various flavors, and they have a new kid tested lemon lime flavor. I prefer the orange flavor. You just squeeze the packet in your mouth, and best of all, for finicky kids.....mix it with yogurt or ice cream. Check out

coromega will send you a free sample. Go on their site. Then you can try before you buy. These things arent CHEAP. Diane V39475.6923148148My son takes Nature's Way EfaGold Mood Aide. I just tell him that's it's a vitamin.I just ordered GO FISH Children's Omega-3 DHA Liquid from Dr. Sears' website. He has 3 different forms of it. It comes in the soft-chews (like the Nordic Naturals one). And it comes in soft-gels and liquid form like I got.
I can't help you with the success yet since I haven't tried it. But, I'm certainly willing to try that before going to medications.
omegabrite kidz is a liquid, but my daughter did not like the taste, which is why we worked on the pill swallowing.Thank you! I read all yesterday and I'm off shopping today. I'm starting him on the supplements and diet. I guess neither of those things can hurt; and at least I will feel like I'm doing something to help him out.
Found this message board today...and keep posting questions. Hopefully, you guys can help me. I keep reading about omega supplements for kids with adhd. I'm curious what you guys are using? Are you simply using flax seed oil or are any of you able to get your child to take fish oil? DS is going thru testing and looking for as much info as I can get.
Thank you in advance.
Both my girls (one diagnosed with ADHD, one not)(and myself and husband) all take Omega 3 in fish oil form. My oldest and I take Omega 3 + Joy and my youngest is only 5 and I doubt could swallow a pill that big, so for now is taking MorEPA minis. They have NO problem taking them and I dont tell them it's fish oil (they'd NEVER take them then), I just say it's a vitamin. The VegEPA are smaller and have no smell. They also have no Dha. Someone on another thread about omegas posted a link to a chewable kind and I think someone has some sort of liqid as well.
My son took Children's DHA from Nordic Naturals - I bought them at GNC. They are chewable and supposedly strawberry flavored fish oil in 250mg capsules and we took 2 in the morning and 2 at night. He used to take them without a problem, but lately has been VIOLENTLY refusing, so we haven't gotten them into his system in about a week. I may be on a search for a new form myself! We use Nordic Natural Super Omega, in a pill form, it is an oil filled capsule I guess. DD takes 4 daily. Remember you MUST take Vitamin E with Omega's!
