Tongue Sores and Adderall | ADHD Information

The tongue sores are not from biting my tongue or messing with it, they are more like infected tastebuds.  It heals up quickly when I take a break from the adderall....but gets worse if I continue taking the prescribed dosage everyday.  Today, I got sores on the inside of my lower lip as well.  Bothersome. I just end up chewing up my lips a whole lot :-p  I believe its because of the anxiety side effect of the stimulant.  Do you also tend to tap your fingers or fidget?? Whenever i cant visibly fidget, i just chew on my lips . lol .. aah. I dont think its dangerous. The mouth heals faster than pretty much anywhere else (excepting maybe the eyes)I have been taking Adderall for 3 months now.  I have always gotten a sort of raw tongue, kind of like when you drink coffee that is too hot...but it hasn't been too bothersome. I normally don't take my entire prescribed dosage (15mg, 3x daily), but when I take that much for a few days I get sores all over my tongue and I feel the need to pick at my gums.  I know swelling in the mouth can be a sign of an allergic reaction...but this doesn't seem like an allegy.  Anybody else experiece this?  Any ideas on what causes it?

i have that too. I didn't think it was because of the medication (Adderall)

I only noticed the sore tongue about 3 days ago. Ive been on Adderall for a couple weeks. My taste buds are messed up, almost everything feels acidic and tastes funny. Chewing Big Red burns. Tongue feels dry and almost cat-like. :|

I have also been chewing my lips. and Fidgeting. But the fidgeting isnt as bad as the lip chewing. its usually on the bottom left side and now its blackish and hurts, but I still do it...

I was searching the Internet to find a cure for these very bothersome sores on my tongue (they feel like inflamed pimples inside my tongue on the tip) and I came across this forum. I've been taking Adderall XR regularly for about two weeks now and I'm suddenly suffering from these recurring tongue sores. It's especially bad in the morning. Any suggestions? I need to keep taking the Adderall but these sores are distressing.

I also have sores on my tongue.  Mine are on the sides  and of course it hurts to talk.  Any suggestions on this without not taking the meds?

Am also taking a creatine product which is a supplement could that be a problem?

 

I also am noticing that my tongue is sore as if my tea was too hot. I didn't take my meds one day and it got better. I am on Adderall XR alternating days, one day of 15 mg, one day of 20 mg. I find the soreness distracting, not what I need as I am already highly distractable.
