that is the best thing EVER. When I was little I wanted to live in the Ewok village.
.... okay, I still do. Sue me.
Wish I could talk about this more, but I'm going to be late for work as it is...
The Ewok village!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!! Exactly what I was picturing.
GypsyWomyn38424.6952199074Oh my gosh! I totally forgot that...my bad....or shall I say my ADHD...LOL
Oh my gosh that is the coolest place ...we need a suspension bridge...for our tree house....better yet lets rent out the whole park and have an ADHD convention...LOL
Ok - my boyfriend and I checked this out yesterday - it was the COOLEST thing ever and fits right into this conversation - sort of,

Cool, bcgirl! But they only have "tours" of it. I don't see that they rent tree houses out, do they?
How far is that from Vancouver, BC? Let's meet up and go together!
Just a thought, I think I would get sea-sick in such a house... Not really stable ground in windy weather.... and its hopelessly unpractical hehe
And little treehouse internet hookups since we are all junkies...Nope, they don't
rent treehouses, LOL, but it was still pretty cool. I think it makes a
good starting model though for our treehouse playground. Hee hee!
Yup - those of us in the Canadian Southwest/American Northwest can! LOL.
Yeah!!! no husbands! and tons of pretty fabric...all over the sides of the windows...so when the wind blows the fabric cascades and flows with the wind...oh yeah and lots of plants that grow from the limbs...I just thought of something I bet the dad who built the treehouse is ADHD? What do yall think?Oh that would be soooooooo cool..where it has to have a nice climate so we can leave the windows open all the time.OMG that is the coolest thing ever!!!! Can I move in too???? Or maybe we could just create our own little ADHD Treehouse Neighbourhood - with a whole bunch of treehouses interconnected with rope bridges.... how fun would that be???!!!
Of course we'd need slides and fireman poles and rope ladders, and a normal staircase for those non-hyperactive days. And of course LOTS of swings and hammocks. And wouldn't it be cooler still if we had our own lake in the middle of it all?

That's it - I'm opening up the world's first Treehouse Resort.

wow!!!!!!!!!YES, SANDRA, WE'LL MAKE ROOM FOR YOU,TOO!!!
[QUOTE=GypsyWomyn]AND another wing for your interior design business! And, NO MEN ALLOWED, especially husbands.

C.C....you only posted it 10 minutes before your first post! Give us a chance! I mean, I'm busy enjoying visualizing what you described, and already furnishing my own tree house. Will get back to when I'm done daydreaming.
GypsyWomyn38418.8914814815OMG Gyp! Can't you just see it living above all the non adhders and watching them....and laughing at them when they cant draw or what ever it is we can do that they cant....making really creative ways to get to parts of the tree house like a slide or secret hole....oh yeah and lots of CATS! LOL....this would be too fun!
Sorry I am having a break down today so just let me dream.....:(
CATS! Dozens of 'em.
They'll have their own little "wing" just for using the litter boxes! Self-cleaning ones, of course.

My daughter was telling me about the weekend she went with a friend of hers to her ranch home....Her friend's dad build a full scale tree house spaning four trees ...complete with bathrooms and a kitchen...with tvs and all the games you would need to have total fun...the tree house is built on very old large healthy trees...
OMG! I want to move there and live in the trees!
I WANT A TREEHOUSE FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE SANTA!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just bought a home since my divorce and the home behind me has a two story tree house with siding and an AC unit with a small deck...the little boy who it belonged to was in it the other day while I was working in my yard...and I felt little pricks on my feet...I looked down and there was a copper BB on the ground...the little beast was shooting at me....For sure that boy has ADHD...I told him not to shot at me anymore, but he had a cool tree house and if he wanted to keep it make sure his gun was aimed somewhere else...because I would report his deed restriction violation tree house to the homeowners association....
....anyway...got off the subject a little bit....part of the reason I liked this house so much is because of the cool tree house that is in the yard behind mine...when I would tell people about the house I would say ..."Its a great home...plenty of room, great yard oh yeah..and there is the coolest tree house in the yard behind us..." my friends get me so they just laugh...but others are like well is it in your yard....I say no, but you can see it....anyway...just had to share....LOL
Hey CC! I haven't been around much on this board, but couldn't pass up our old tree house thread, now could I? Glad you have one right behind you...albeit with a little boy who shoots BBs at ya.
I suggest you make friends with that little boy, so he'll invite you over to visit his tree house.

CC, there are a few resorts around the country and around the world that are built among the trees. Even if you can't live in a treehouse, you could luxuriate in one, maybe. I'll see if I can dig up some links or photos.bcgirl - I know what you mean! I was born in Haney, which was merged into Maple Ridge in the 70s. I can remember - it was so lush and alive - and GREEN!! Like Ireland green - the only color anywhere. I had forgotten that before my meds and once I started on them I was so amazed at the detail I remember - it was the most wonderful place my parents and I had ever lived, at least to me. They moved because as other places on the lower mainland were doing Haney was becoming too busy and they worried about me walking to school on busy highways every day. So we moved.
Treehouses - wow I used to love them! Remember that popular mechanics used to have their "how-to" section - they had treehouses at least once a year. Cool ones - I guarantee they were built for the grownups way more than for the kids.
My best friend in the 70s had a treehouse. Well, it was mostly a flat wooden platform between two higher branches but for us it was a treehouse. I remember on his birthday in the winter I was up playing when his mom called everyone in for cake. My ADHD kicked in and all I could think about was "cake and ice cream cake and ice cream" - not remembering "you're off the ground watch out you're off the ground watch out". So I fell about 7 feet down into the snow - on my back. I wasn't hurt but still was only thinking about the grub. We went in and I brushed myself off and went into a feeding frenzy. Remember they used to put money in the cake for "good luck"? I didn't know - ate about 4 dimes LOL!!
Oh yeah treehouses - I love them too.
My heart hurts! No more treehouse links anymore! I've spent the last hour staring at my computer screen. I love them so. *sigh* Hi to all!! Im a newcomer both to this chat and being diagnosed adult ADHD. Just wanted to say it's a relief to find there really is people like me that think living in a tree house is an excellent idea. I truly dont understand the others out there that would be unimpressed with such an idea!! You guys have given me hope
Welcome Peita!
Yup - we are a bunch of kids at heart (and beyond for some of us LOL!!). Read all over here - you'll be hard pressed not to find yourself all over the place!
Glad to have ya - we can always use more people!!
Well thankyou
. Im delighted to find kindred spirits. Australia isn't very ADHD friendly yet so I've had trouble trying to find people aboard the same boat so to speak.rural Canada is much like the outback in that kind of way. But I lucked out and found kindred spirits here - and a fantastic doc who didn't understand it all but knew who to ask. You'll find what you need - and if you cant' ask and me or someone here will help you!
We're one big happy dysfunctional family - welcome in!
I'm Jane. Want tree house.
